Tony can generally be found behind the lens at Tony Pearce Photos. Snapping shots of rotary powered vehicles all over New Zealand. But like many of us, Tony has a day job to do every day. Also, like many of us; Tony knows that commuting on 2 wheels is a cost effective way to travel, not to mention the time saved.
After riding a 50cc CVT scooter for years, Tony recently pounced on this lesser known underbone, the Hyosung Midas FX110. I had never seen one before in New Zealand, likely due to the age. These were released in the late 90’s and stayed in production through the early 2000’s.
It’s a 110cc, 3 valve, 4 stroke underbone with 4 gears. Unlike a lot of it’s underbone counterparts, this machine actually has 16” wheels instead of 17”. It also comes stock with a nicely sized rear rack which is complemented by the smaller wire rack on the front end.
