2009 Harley Davidson sportster 883 (Frisco edition)

In a traditional sense, Harley Davidson’s 883 Sportster has always been the most overlooked model produced by the motorcycle behemoth. It’s small enough, nimble and a fun bike to ride. But when the exact same bike is available with 317cc additional for nearly the same cost in the second hand market, it’s no surprise the 883 ends up all to often ignored.
One lazy Sunday morning, Bosch was scrolling online and happened upon a nearly stock burgundy coloured 883 Sportster. Having owned mainly older bikes up to this point, the 2009 Harley offered EFI and some level of reliability whilst not being entirely boring. Most of all for a very spontaneous person it was available right then and there.
Only a few hours later the 883 ended up in Bosch’s hands. Over the next year the bike remained mostly stock, aside from it’s S&S pipes. But eventually with Harley Fever taking hold, Bosch threw his vision together and approached a local outfit to assist with it’s creation into a Frisco Style beast.

It’s not that Bosch isn’t a mechanical person. But as a fairly sought after tattoo artist, spare time is a curse word and in this instance it was just easier to get a quick turnaround than have a beautiful bike lay dormant for months on end. Only days before the shoot, Bosch found out I wanted to film the Frisco 4” lifted pegs instead of the traditional forward mounts it had been rocking. Within a few hours I had pictures of the Frisco pegs mounted and in working order – ready for a last minute shoot the next morning.
The best thing about this bike is the attitude of the owner. His only aim with owning the 883 is to make himself happy which he does without fail. Every day the V Twin shakes into life is a good day.
In all honesty, this is a story best shared by Bosch himself, so take a look at the video and be sure to subscribe for more!
